Neighbourhood Care Points

There are 3 Neighborhood Care Points located in Ticancweni, Skom and Masekweni, they function as soup kitchens in the poor areas of Manzini, and provide a daily meal to approximately 500 children and adults. The food is sponsored by MYC and AMICAL, and also include the nutritious food packs provided by the USAID and WFP food distribution programme. Many people who are visiting the Care Points are living below the poverty line or unemployed. The soup kitchens are staffed by mothers of the children in the local community who volunteer, and also include ‘Health Motivators’ who refer the sick and elderly members to our MYC clinic.
